Arthur Weston / Fred Lynch

‘10 Mile’ Canoe, Kayak and SUP

Keeping the race alive!  Pisiquid Canoe Club -founded by Fred and Karen  Lynch, will again, host the Arthur Weston Open C2 and Fred Lynch Marathon. We aren’t sure what a ‘mile’ is, but we know our canoes.

Known as the ‘Championship of the Lakes’, and founded 105 years ago in 1920 on lakes Banook, Mic Mac, and Charles in Dartmouth the Weston/Lynch race is a storied part of our history that the Pisiquid Canoe Club works to keep alive.

Where ever the event is hosted, the main course will be ≈16km (10 miles), with two mandatory portages to honor the original race format. Shorter, half distance race options with no portage will be in place for the some of the more recreational classes or ParaCanoe.

If you have a boat, some paddles, and a PFD, come race with us! Click ‘Register - About’ for more information on the race, and how to register. On-Line registration will close on September 26, 2025 @ noon to give me time to set up, but on-site registration is allowed.
